1961 Manufacturers of Pyrotenax mineral insulated metal covered cables, used extensively in ships, aircraft, chemical works, nuclear power plants and factories as well as in domestic premises. In addition to electrical wiring circuits they are being used in increasing quantities for floor and wall heating insulations. 760 employees.

1968 Queen's Award to Industry for Export Achievement.
