LOUIS PHILIPPE WEBERT died suddenly of heart failure at Waterbury, Conn., U.S.A., on June 14, 1930.
He was born on October 2, 1884, at Louisville, Ky., U.S.A. Graduating from the high school at Louisville, he went to Rose Polytechnic Institute, where he received the degree of B.S. in 1909, and the degree of M.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1913. He held positions in chemical and metallurgical engineering with the U.S. Navy Department in Annapolis, Maryland, and Bath, Maine.
In 1920 he took up the position of Metallurgical Engineer with The American Brass Company, Waterbury, Conn., where he served until the time of his death.
He was a member of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, American Society for Testing Materials, and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Metallkunde.
