He was a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, the Royal Empire Society, and the Australian Club. He took a keen interest in public affairs, and was for several years Chairman of the Illawarra Chamber of Commerce, and President of the South Coast Association of Boy Scouts. His personality and loyal friendship will long be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to be associated with him. | |||

EDMOND AUNGER WHITE died at Melbourne on November 14, 1929.
Born in New Zealand in 1875, he went to Australia as a boy, living for some years with his brother on a cattle station in Central Queensland.
About thirty-five years ago he joined the staff of the Mount Morgan Gold Mining Company, Ltd., studied engineering, and became its Assistant Construction Engineer.
