GEORGE HIGHTON, a partner in the firm of Samuel Sons & Benjamin, metal merchants, died on March 22, 1925. He was in his sixtieth year, and had spent with the firm practically the whole of his business career.
Mr. Highton was born in Liverpool, and joined the firm in 1885. He came to London in 1892, and attended the London Metal Exchange since 1895. For a number of years he filled the position of manager for Samuel Sons & Benjamin, and in 1921 he was made a partner in the business.
He was elected a member of the Institute on July 29, 1918.
