CHARLES LOUIS FAULKNER died on January 20, 1923, following a serious operation.
After completing his education at Colfe Grammar School, Lewisham, he entered the firm of Messrs. Bolling & Lowe, the well-known engineers and merchants.
In the year 1902 he started on his own account in London.
In 1918 he returned to Messrs. Bolling & Lowe as a partner, and on his initiative the concern was transformed later into a private limited company, of which he was director up to the time of his death.
He was one of the founders of the London Iron and Steel Exchange, of which he was director; he was also a member of the iron and steel section of the London Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Birmingham and Glasgow Exchanges.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1913.
