1879 Edwin Sharratt left the business he and Edward Lisle had established, to start his own business.
He joined forces with a Mr. Parker and produced bicycles using the Connaught trade name.
1893 Sharratt and Co was formed on 30th October 1893 to take over the business of Sharratt and Parker. The first directors had been Edwin John Sharratt and Frederick Hammond Reed.
1895 Application to wind up the company of Sharratt and Co of Poultney Street, Wolverhampton, cycle manufacturers, by Smith, Pinsett and Co. [1] [2]
1895 The company went into liquidation with debts of over £800. The Sharratt and the Lisle firms still used the Pountney Street works, but whether they were in separate buildings or had split one building between them is not known.
