1873 Arthur Berrington was employed as an architectural draughtsman at the Dock Yard of Liverpool Docks. He was due to retire from there in 1916, but agreed to stay on until after WW1, finally leaving in 1919.[1]

With his wife Mary Berrington (age 56 born Alva, Banaffshire) and their daughter Dorothea Alice Berrington (age 20 born Birkenhead). Married 25 years with two children. One servant.[2]
