- 1914 Bellingham and Stanley Ltd began manufacturing optical instrumentation. [1] The company was founded by Leonard Bellingham and Frank Stanley, who were pioneers in the development of high quality optical instruments. [2]
- 1920 January - Physical and Optical Societies Exhibition. Showed Abbe refractometer. [3]
- 1947 Manufacturers of Sugar and Oil Testing Saccharimeters, Polarimeters and Refractometers, Polarimeter Tubes, Colour Testing Apparatus, Spectographs for Analysis, Spectrometers, Photometers, Research Apparatus, Prisms and Lenses in Glass and other Materials.
