1871 William Freeman Roe 36, (born in Camberwell in 1834), was an assistant to a hydraulic engineer; lived in Lambeth with his wife Louisa Roe 38; also in the same house was William Bobby 19, apprentice to a hydraulic engineer[1]; by 1881 he was a hydraulic engineer; he died in South Norwood in 1891 [2].
