Robert Masefield (1845-1926) of R. Masefield and Co, Manor Iron Works, Manor Street, Chelsea, London, S.W.

Born at Ledbury in 1845.

He was a pupil of Ordish and Le Feuvre, civil engineers of 18 Great George St and was subsequently employed in their drawing office for four years.

c.1868 Became sub-manager at Holbrook and Co.

c.1870 Became managing partner at Manor Iron Works

1871 Iron founder, living in Chelsea^[1]

1881 Civil and mechanical engineer, employing 99 men^[2]

1882 He was managing partner at the Manor Iron Works when he was proposed for membership of I Mech E, a position he had held for 12 years.

1890 of Manor Iron works

1891 Civil engineer, living in Chelsea^[3]

1911 Civil engineer, working on own account, living in Chelsea^[4]

1926 Died in Ledbury
