This iron bridge carries a footpath over the River Kelvin in a pleasant wooded valley, providing access to the Botanic Gardens. A number of other bridges are encountered when following the valley downstream, including the impressive cast iron Great Western Bridge. Slightly further upstream is a modern footbridge also connecting with the Botanic garden.
