1860 Patent to Edward Barlow, of the firm of Messrs. Dobson and Barlow, Machine Makers, of Bolton- le-Moors, in the county of Lancaster, and Francis Hamilton, of the same place, Manager, have given the like notice in respect of the invention of " certain improvements in carding engines."[3]
