in Bristol
Lodge Causeway is an ancient route through the former Royal Forest of Kingswood, and is now the B4048, the main road between Fishponds and Kingswood in Bristol. The bridge of interest is a steel girder bridge over the former Midland Railway line, now the Bristol and Bath Railway Path.
The bridge was built in 1926 by John Lysaght. The remains of the previous masonry skew bridge are prominent beneath the 1926 bridge.
