Maker of vacuum furnaces and electro-welders, of Histon, Cambridge

1959 Dr Malcolm Boston left the company he had founded, Camvac, to start Torvac in Cambridge, using his knowledge of vacuum technology which he applied to design electron-beam welders and vacuum furnaces for industrial uses[1]


1985 Acquired by Thermal Scientific plc
