1863 The company was registered on 8 August. [1] as The North Warwickshire Worsted and Woollen Spinning and Weaving Company Ltd as a means of remedying the great distress prevalent amongst the Coventry ribbon weavers in 1862. Took over an existing cotton factory.

1869 Name changed to Leigh Mills Co

1890 Factory burnt down; later became the premises of the Daimler Co
