Late 1840s Crossways Brick and Tile Yard established by Thomas Colmer Colthurst.[1][2]
1857 Colthurst, Symonds and Co founded as a partnership between Thomas Colthurst and William Symons.[3][4]
1859 Colthurst, Symonds and Co were one of the largest brick manufacturers in the Huntworth area (near Bridgwater).[5]
1881 Colthurst, Symonds and Co's Crossways Brick and Tile Works was the largest brick works in the Huntworth area.[6]
1887 By this date Colthurst, Symonds and Co operated three yards, namely: Crossway, Fursland's Somerset Yard, and New Yard.[7]
