Note: This is a sub-section of Sunbeam: Sunbeam-Coatalen.

The Sunbeam Arab was a First World War era aircraft engine.

The engine was a V8 of 11.76 litres capacity and developed 208 hp at 2,000 rpm.

It was developed in 1916 and 1,026 were produced in the subsequent two years. It was not successful, suffering from vibration and unreliability.

Its bore was 120mm, and its stroke 130mm. It had aluminium cylinder heads, blocks and pistons, which was unusually advanced.
