Bristol Aerojet was a joint venture between the Bristol Aeroplane Co and Aerojet General f the US.
1941 A factory was built in Banwell near Weston-Super-Mare which was operated by the Bristol Aeroplane Co.
1959 The Banwell works became Bristol Aerojet (BAJ) when collaboration began with Aerojet of California.
During the 1960s half of the shares of the company passed to Rolls-Royce.
1979 Bristol Aerojet was sold to Vickers.
1985 BAJ Holdings, a defence and aerospace company, was formed as the result of a management buyout from Vickers.
1987 Meggitt Holdings acquired BAJ Holdings[1],
