Oliver Herman Boden (1886-1940)

1886 Born in Chorlton the son of John George Boden, engineer fitter

1912 Foreman tool maker, married Margaret Tracy in Salford[1]

1927 Works Manager of Wolseley when the company was acquired by William Richard Morris

Vice-chairman of Morris Motors and managing director of Nuffield Mechanisations and Aero

1938 With Hans Landstad visited Sweden to examine the manufacturing of the Bofors gun and make arrangement for its production in the UK

1939 Continued as deputy to Lord Nuffield when he was appointed Director-General of Maintenance in the Air Ministry.

1940 Died aged 53
