1918 International Western Electric Company Inc. was formed
1925 International Western Electric Company was purchased by the infant ITT Corporation. The International Western Electric Co had factories in Woolwich, Antwerp, Paris and elsewhere in Europe[1]. 1925 ITT acquired the International Western Electric Co. The Western Electric interests were transferred to the International Standard Electric Corporation of New York. Its British subsidiary's name was changed to Standard Telephones and Cables (STC) Ltd.[2].
