William Theodore Carr (18667-1931) of Carr and Co

1895 James Sumner produced a three-wheel 'horseless carriage' for William Theodore Carr of Carr and Co, a biscuit manufacturer, of Carlisle. Produced an improved version for the same person the following year.

1898 August. Letter about his cars.[1]

1898 September. Details and images of his steam car.[2]

1901 Living at Sunny Croft, Dalston, Cumberland: William Theodore Carr (age 34 born Carlisle), biscuit and bread manufacturer. With his wife Edith M. J. Carr (age 28 born born Ireland) and children Dorothy Carr (age 6 born Carlisle), Stanley T. Carr (age 4 born Carlisle), Edith A. Carr (age 3 born Carlisle). Three servants. [3]
