1897 The company was registered in December.

1914 The [Ashton-under-Lyne Corporation Transport]] started to consider purchasing the company's assets with the Ashton area.

The lines are purchasable by the local authorities in 1918 on terms of the Tramways Act 1870.

1921 Ashton Transport purchased the lines in its borough.
