Mid-1890s Arthur Chamberlain took over the ailing firm and merged it with others

The company was hit by the collapse of the cycle boom.

1898 These firms were reconstructed into Tubes

1918 formed the nucleus of Tube Investments.

Arthur Chamberlain's son and grandson, both called Arthur, were involved in the management into the 1950s.
