JOHN HODGART, senior partner of the firm of Fullerton, Hodgart, & Barclay, engineers and ironfounders, Paisley, died on November 28, 1902, in his sixty-first year. He did not identify himself in a prominent manner with public questions, but he was deeply interested in the welfare of the community, and was a member of the various societies of the town. Up to within a few weeks of his death he was one of the governors of the Paisley Technical College, and he was a director of the Royal Alexandra Infirmary.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1900.
