1906 When Alley and MacLellan acquired the rights to the development work carried out by Simpson and Bibby on steam wagons, Daniel Simpson was retained as a consultant for ten years.

1911 Daniel Harrison Simpson 37, head experimental engineer working for a driving chain manufacturer, lived in Stretford, with Alice Anne Simpson 41[2]

1916 Died in a motorcycle accident
