1901 A motor car manufacturer, employer, lived with his mother and siblings in Hazlegrove cum Bramhall, Cheshire[2]

1902 Patented boiler design

1906 When Alley and MacLellan acquired the rights to the development work carried out by Simpson and Bibby on steam wagons, Daniel Simpson was retained as a consultant for ten years.

1911 Daniel Harrison Simpson 37, head experimental engineer working for a driving chain manufacturer, lived in Stretford, with Alice Anne Simpson 41[3]

1916 of Bury, died in a motorcycle accident in Bristol[4]
