  • Claygate Brickfields Ltd was located in Common Road, Claygate. The company manufactured Tudor Briquettes for use in the construction of fireplaces, garden statuary and for the facing of buildings.
  • 1930 The company is listed in Kelly's Directory of Surrey, (but does not appear in the 1927 edition).
  • 1937 British Industries Fair Advert for 'Claygate Old English Fireplaces'. Pioneers of the Brick Fireplace Industry. "Claygate" Old English Fireplaces built of Hand-made Sand-faced Briquettes, either loose or slabbed in sections. The original Old English Fireplace.
