Geoffrey William England
Geoffrey William England (1892-1913). Early aviator.
1892 Born in Cobham, son of George England and his wife Amy
1911 Motor engineer, lived with his parents in Cobham[1]
1912 Lieutenant; gained his aviator's certificate
1913 5th March. Died at Salisbury Plain when his Bristol monoplane (80 hp Gnome engine) broke up in the air with several wing ribs becoming detached from the spars while at 600 feet and gliding.
