1930 Gained his Royal Aero Club Aviators’ Certificate

1938 Married Imogen Matthey

WWII Served in the RAF, both in the air and in Whitehall

1959 Managing Director, Dunlop Rubber Co., since 1957

1966 Responsible for the committee that produced the Geddes Report on the future of the shipbuilding industry in Britain.

1998 Died in Westminster[1]
