Omoa Iron Works of Shotts (1789 - 1868)

1787 One of the early large ironworks constructed in Scotland at this time

1821 'TO the CREDITORS of WILLIAM YOUNG, of the Omoa Iron-Works, Coal Merchant and Iron-Merchant in Glasgow'[1]

By 1872 the works was out of use[2]
