Harry Alfred Gaydon was born in 1878 and served his apprenticeship with Bailey and Co., of Croydon.
In 1900 he started his own business as motor and cycle manufacturer, and in 1910 formed a company for the Manufacture of his own inventions.
In 1917 he joined the staff of Creed and Co., carrying out experimental work on aircraft acoustic apparatus.
In 1922 he commenced in business as a Consultant, chiefly concerned with the development of inventions.
He died on 24th March, 1944, at the age of 66.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1908.
