'...By indenture, dated the 30th day of August, 1856, John Dickson, of Wellington, in the county of Salop, Railway Contractor, and George Knox, of Shrewsbury, in the same county, Railway Contractor, carrying on business under the firm of John Dickson and Company, at the Shropshire Works, Wellington aforesaid, conveyed and assigned all the real and personal estate and effects whatsoever of them the said John Dickson and George Knox unto William Wyley, of Dothill-park, in the said county, Esq., William Waring Slater, of Liverpool, Book Keeper, Isaac Blackburn, of Long- Eaton, near Derby, Engineer, and Thomas Groom, of Wellington aforesaid, Timber Merchant, upon trust, for the equal benefit of all the creditors of them the said John Dickson and George Knox....'[1]
