His father (who had been a Whitworth scholar) was sent to Australia to install the first trams for the City of Adelaide[1]
1890 His father was an electrician; he died in Australia[2]

Joined the X-ray tube maker A. C. Cossor Ltd
1911 A scientific instrument maker, employer, living with his step parents in Stamford Hill<ref1911 census</ref>
1920s Inventor of the first Cossor radio valves. Gained various patents on thermionic valves
1925 Freedom of the City of London
1937 Died in Whetstone
