At a Sale by Public Auction held by Messrs. Stephenson & Alexander at The Mart, 5, High Street, Cardiff, on Thursday, the 20th October, 1938, Mr. Joseph Bowles, of Dumballs Road, Cardiff, was declared the Purchaser of the Goodwill of the Business then carried on by Messrs. Evans' Titan Foundry Company at the Titan Foundry, Dumballs Road. Cardiff, and at Christie's Foundry, Loudoun Square, Cardiff, including the Fixed and Loose Plant and Machinery, Stocks, Stores, Furniture, Book Debts and all other assets of the Firm, while Mr. Bowles agreed to discharge all debts then owing by the Firm. The business is now being carried on by Mr. Bowles (who was for some years past a Member of the Firm) under the style or firm of The Titan Foundry Company. As in the past we look forward to receiving customers' orders and enquiries and in return we can offer you castings at competitive prkes, together with a hundred per cent. delivery service.'[1]
Note: Christie's Foundry, Loudoun Square, is assumed to have formerly been the Loudoun Foundry.
