c.1866 John Waddington set up business in London as consulting engineer.
At later dates he brought several of his sons into the business.
1895 John Waddington the younger, by mutual arrangement, retired from the Partnership subsisting between John Waddington, John Waddington the younger and Richard Waddington carried on under the name or style of John Waddington as Engineers and Commission Agents at 35 King William-street in the city of London. ... the continuing partners carried on the business as heretofore at the same address and under the said name of John Waddington.[1]
