Entered Post Office 1898, by competitive examination; Technical Officer, 2nd Class; Asst. Superintending Engr., Northern District; Staff Engr., 1st Class, in charge of Electric Light and Power Section; Superintending Engr., Eastern District; one of the Secretaries to the International Telegraph Conference, 1903; Member of the Committee of Management of the Royal National Lifeboat Inst.
