1946 The AC-Sphinx Sparking Plug Co became the AC-Sphinx Sparking Plug Co of General Motors

Presumably 1952 or after the name was shortened to AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors

1957 The Southampton factory was fitted with Colt ventilation and fire protection systems[1]

1963 Motor Show exhibitor. Electrical parts.[2]

1967 Filters and governors for natural gas[3]

1974 The merger of AC Spark Plug Sales Division and United Delco Division created the AC-Delco Division of General Motors.

1995 became part of Delphi Automotive Systems, which was spun off from GM in 1999.
