Edward Hall (1798-1875)
1798 Born son of John Hall
1817 His father sent him to Paris as the firm's representative
1833 May 17th. Edward Hall took out a patent for the Trevithick engine in France.
1836 After the death of his father, Edward and his brother John inherited the Dartford business which they renamed J. and E. Hall.[1]
1851 Edward Hall 52, steam engine manufacturer employing 85 men, market gardener employing 19 men and women (indistinct), lived in Dartford with Eliza Hall 47 and his sister Maria Hall 42[2]
1875 Died in Dartford, an engineer; his nephews were some of his executors[3]
