1901 January. Died. 'Mr. Andrew Wallace Barr, of the firm of Messrs. Andrew W. Barr and Co., of 30, Moorgate-street, E.C., the president of the Society of Accountants and Auditors, died at Montreux, on the 12th hist., after a long illness. The late Mr. Barr was a very prominent man in connection with the motor oar movement prior to and immediately after the passing of the enabling Act, and had much to do with the foundation of the Automobile Club.'[1]
