1947 Formed a subsidiary, Kolectric, as a diversification move, to make electric coil winding machinery which had been supplied from German factories before the war[2]
1949 Sold subsidiary Kolectric Ltd because Armstrongs needed the space in the factory[3]
1950 Second factory in York[4]
1961 Armstrong Shock Absorbers changed its name to Armstrong Equipment[5]
