1906 The company was registered on 9 January, to take over the business of James Gibbs and Co, carrying on the business of manufacturers of sulphuric acid and chemical fertilisers, seed crushers etc. [1]
1944 Burnard and Alger Ltd, Gibbs Fertilisers Ltd the Avon Manure Co Ltd were put into creditors voluntary winding up; meeting held at the Harvest House, Ipswich[2], presumably meaning these firms had been acquired by Fisons.
