Presumably connected with Stevens and Sons of Darlington Works, Southwark

1847Pantents granted: 'James Stevens, of Darlington Works, Southwark Bridge-road, engineer, for improvements in apparatus, for conveying signals or communications between distant places ; parts of which are also applicable to lamps and burners. March 10 ; six months.'[2]
