1867 Patent. '1671. And Augustus Lea Bricknell, of Stratford-on-Avon, in the county of Warwick, has given the like notice in respect of the invention of "improvements in rotary pumps."'[2]
1869 Patent. '3551. And Augustus Lea Bricknell, of Stratford-upon-Avon, in the county of Warwick, has given the like notice in respect of the invention of " improvements in gates and in the posts or supports for the same."'[3]

1893 Augustus Lea Bricknell, formerly engineer and ironfounder, at Stratford-on-Avon, applied for his discharge from bankruptcy. Refers to 1870 bankruptcy.[10]
1896 Patent applied. Augustus Lea Bricknell of 2 Horsford Road, Brixton Hill, for improvements in bicycles and tricycles.[11]
1931 Died at Hampstead, London.
