Joseph Birley,(1782-1847), gentleman, of Didsbury

1782 Born, son of Richard Birley (1743–1812), merchant, who had four sons and four daughters. One of Joseph's brother was Hugh Hornby Birley

Married Jane Hornby; children included Thomas Hornby Birley and Henry Birley.
