1840 July 12th. William Dean died at his residence, Goodwin House, Little Bolton, iron-founder, age 42 years.[2]
1845 Advert for the sale of machinery, etc, at Lower Foundry, Fold Road, Little Bolton, by order of the executrix of the late Mr W. Dean. [3]
1857 'On Sunday last, in the 50th year of his age, Mr. James Dean, engineer, Little Bolton, brother of the late Mr. William Dean, of the Phoenix Foundry.'[4]
