Dellingburn Power Station

1900 The coal-fired powered station was opened by Greenock Corporation[1]. It was also used to burn municipal waste for a while, which was not unusual for power stations of that era.

1903 The station was constructed with capacity of 12,000 kW.[2]

Coal was delivered by railway.

Mid-1950s The power station closed.

Ownership of the site transferred to the South of Scotland Electricity Board in the early 1960s.
