Robin and Houston

1896 The company was registered on 29 August, to acquire the business of soap and candle manufacturers of the firm of the same name. [1]
The business was carried on at Park Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow and at Paisley, with capital of £50,000.[2]
According to information in the Unilever archive catalogue, Robin and Houston were a subsidiary of Ogston and Tennant, which in turn was acquired by Lever Brothers.
1950 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
