1858 'NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the PARTNERSHIP heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM CRANAGE and the undersigned EDWARD HOLDEN, carrying on business as Iron Manufacturers, at the Wellington Iron Works, West Bromwich, in the couuty of Stafford, was DISSOLVED by the death of the said William Cranage, on the 10th day of June last, and that the Partnership subsequently subsisting between the said EDWARD HOLDEN and the undersigned ELIZA CRANAGE, JONATHAN EDWARDS HOWL, and THOMAS ROUND, Iron Manufacturers aforesaid, as the Executors of the said William Cranage, deceased, was dissolved on and from the 10th day of July instant, by mutual consent.....[1]
1869 'DEATHS. Holden.— On the 7th inst., at his residence, The Beeches, in his 64th year, Edward Holden, of the firm of Lees and Holden, Wellington Ironworks, West Bromwich; deeply lamented.'[2]
1880 'DEATH OF A WEST BROMWICH IRONMASTER - On Friday night, the death of Mr. Thomas Hugh Allen took place, at his residence, Beeches Road, West Bromwich. He had been unwell for some time, but was thought to be a little better on the day previous to his death. Mr. Allen was one of the principal partners in the well-known firms of Messrs T. P Allen and Co., of the Wellington Iron- works ; and Messrs. Allen and Holden, of the Excelsior Ironworks, West Bromwich, and was deservedly respected in the district.' [3]
