Aldermaston Court

1947 AEI set up a research laboratory Aldermaston Court near Reading exclusively for long-term research; T. E. Allibone of the high voltage laboratory at Trafford Park was chosen as its first manager.

1957 Aldermaston Court was one of 4 AEI research centres; it has a 4 Million volt accelerator and was shortly to take possession of a nuclear research reactor. Work at the laboratory included the investigation of hydrogen fusion as a source of power[1]

c.1967 became the Aldemaston Court Centre for Adult Education
