Norvil motorcycles have been in production since 1989.

The name was first used by Norton-Villiers when they opened a shop to build special versions of the Commando and to sell racing and custom parts. Some years later the name was acquired by Les Emery who, after continuing to produce parts, moved on to complete machines in 1989 - all of Commando type but with refirements, improvements and performance parts.
